Trainz Simulator 2009 - Two New Editions
Trainz Simulator 2009 is the culmination of 8 years of development and will be the biggest and best release of Trainz ever. In November we will release Trainz Simulator: World Builder Edition which delivers the core new features and functionality and also includes the majority of legacy assets from previous releases. Early in 2009, the Engineers Edition will deliver new features and optimisations and amazing new content developed with the new 2009 World Builder tools.

Trainz Simulator 2009: Engineers Edition
Drive your favourite locos and operate the railroad of your dreams.

Trainz Simulator 2009: Engineers Edition (TEE) will offer more content, more driving options and more realistic simulation than ever before. Building upon the advanced graphics capabilities, it will include brand new steam, diesel and electric locomotives plus rolling stock from railroads around the world. Working in conjunction with 3rd Party Content Creators, TEE will offer some of the most spectacular and authentic routes ever created for any rail simulation.

Engineers Edition introduces the new "Driver Set-Up" mode. Choose which route you want to drive, pick your favourite locos and rolling stock, then you're ready to go. Hop into the Driver's seat or operate multiple trains from around the world. Issue orders to computer AI Drivers with Driver Commands or take control of any loco at any time. With multiple camera views you can drive from within the 3D cab, from the external "helicopter" view, from trackside cameras or from the free-roaming camera.

Continue to expand your Trainz experience for ever using the new user-friendly Content Manager. Quickly and easily find and download new routes, sessions, locos and rolling stock. Content Manager finds the content you need and installs it with one click. The new Trainz Online* module enables users to share their experiences in-game through chat, forums and galleries and helps foster the real sense of friendship that makes Trainz the largest rail "club" in the world.

Engineers Edition will include new Driver Commands, improved AI, improved physics and much more. TEE will be available online (Digital Distribution and boxed copy) and through retail channels around the world.

To further expand your experience and customize existing routes or to build your own virtual rail world, you can also purchase the Trainz Simulator 2009: World Builder Edition which includes the user-friendly Surveyor module. Surveyor provides a full set of intuitive tools to build and paint your landscape, populate the world with scenery and rail related items, lay track, place signals and much much more.
